Description
Half splash page from the first issue of Ian Bertram's acclaimed collaboration with filmmaker Darcy Van Poelgeest, LITTLE BIRD, which won the EISNER AWARD 2020 as Best Limited Series.
It's the story of a young resistance fighter who battles against an oppressive American Empire -a theocratic dystopia of genetic manipulation - and searches for her own identity in a world on fire.
The story follows a group of Canadian rebels fighting to take back their home from the theocratic United Nations of America. Van Poelgeest spent five years collaborating with artist Ian Bertram on this unsettling, exhilarating sci-fi miniseries, taking advantage of Bertram's ingenuity and understanding of comic book craft to build a narrative that showcases the full range of the artist's talent.

Commentaire
Ian Bertram is in my opinion quite European in his art and at the moment one of the most interesting comic book artists. Here we have a very detailed page with a half-splash and a key scene (btw.: this page is a heavy citation of MOEBIUS Silver Surfer)- what else could you desire?
