Some cases of this page reminded me of the illustration that I own and show in my "Le Gall Illustration" section in my 2D Gallery.
In my view Frank Le Gall did a brilliant job by moving the design from the Spirou et Fantasio world a bit into the "Ligne claire" area (although this attempt seems to be not undisputed).
