Alain Maury original comic art

After his artistic studies at the Institut Saint-Luc in Mons, Alain Maury began his comics career with the gag series about the musician 'Stanislas' in Spirou in 1983. He cooperated on the periodical Jouez avec Quick et Flupke at Casterman, before he turned to a career in illustration and advertising. Maury joined Studio Peyo in 1988, where he started out contributing art to the magazine Schtroumpf. He cooperated with Peyo on 'Le Schtroumpf Financier' in 1992.
