Beautiful page from the classic story “Message in a Nutshell” which was first published in Walt Disney Comics & Stories No. 380-382 (1972), and has since been published in at least 14 countries worldwide. As almost all of Murry’s artwork from the 1940’s to 1960’s has been destroyed, and only about 300 pages have survived, this makes this probably one of the best surviving pages....I just love the unusual panel-composition and those lush black inks in the last 3 panels, wonderful page with Mickey, Goofy and Captain Churchmouse...

A propos de Paul Murry
Paul Murry commença à travailler comme fermier. Mais, autodidacte dans le dessin, en 1937, à la suite d'un concours, il est embauché dans une entreprise de gravure et part l'année suivante pour Los Angeles travailler pour Walt Disney Company où il restera jusqu'en 1984.
Après avoir touché à la plupart des personnages Disney, son nom reste lié à Mickey Mouse, Super Dingo et Le Fantôme noir.
