When Hugo Pratt temporarily left Argentina for Great Britain in 1959 to draw war comics for Fleetway, his assistant and love interest at the time, Gisela Dester, wouldn´ t join him. Instead she stayed put in Argentina and continued drawing Hector German Oesterheld´ s frontier saga Ticonderoga. Pratt´ s Ticonderoga stories have been collected in European albums, but as far as I know, Dester´ s Ticonderoga has only been reprinted in some Argentinian collections.
