About Russ Braun
Russ Braun started working in comics in 1989 when Joe Orlando, my teacher at the School of Visual Arts, gave me my first paying gig at DC Comics. For the next few years he learned the business on the fly, working on everything from Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight to Swamp Thing, Animal Man, JLA and War of the Gods.
During that period he had the good fortune to work with and learn from some of the greats in the field; Joe Orlando, Carmine Infantino, Jose Luis Garcia Lopez and George Perez to name but a few.
He paused comics for seven years to work at Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida on the films Mulan, Tarzan, Emperor's New Groove, Lilo&Stitch and Brother Bear. When the studio closed in 2004, he returned to New York and comics.
From 2004 on, it's been all comics all the time. Russ hass worked on numerous titles for most of the major companies: Fables, Jack of Fables, Fairest and Sixpack&Dogwelder: Hard-Travelin' Heroez for DC/Vertigo, Hellstorm: Son of Satan and Where Monsters Dwell for Marvel, and Battlefields and The Boys with Garth Ennis for Dynamite.
