Kagemaru made his debut in 1957 with 'Monster Baron' (rental manga)
His manga career spanned over 5 decades and he published a total of 247 works!
One of his greatest successes is undoubtably 'Waru' (Bad) [Wal] based on a screenplay by Hisao Maki.
'Waru' was published in 'Weekly Shonen' followed by several album releases and a series of 12 movies !
His more imaginative titles include; Desire School, Piston Horiguchi, Giant Samurai Flame, Zero Racer ... but he also drew many adaptations of successful books such as 'Funeral Bell' and 'Moby Dick'
Kagemaru had Hitoshi Tanimura as an assistant from 1972 and later even a second assistant; Fumiko Nagao.
