About Xavier Fourquemin

Xavier Fourquemin was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, went to school in Bagneux and eventually Toulouse. He headed for Belgium, where he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Tournai, where he attended classes by Antonio Cossu. He made his debut as a comic artist in 1996, with a 4-page story in magazine Gotham. He started a cooperation with writer Dieter, and together they created series such as 'Alban' (Le Téméraire/Soleil, 1998-2004) and the humorous western 'Outlaw' (Glénat Grafica, 2001-2005). He then teamed up with Jean-Christophe Derrien to create the Victorian steampunk diptych 'Miss Endicott' for the collection Signé of Lombard in 2007. He ventured into the fantasy genre in the following year, when he started 'Le Légende du Changeling' with Pierre Dubois at Le Lombard. His next project was with Philippe Charlot for Bamboo publishers, called 'Le Train des Orphelins', that started in 2012. Text (c) Lambiek
