                About Allen Simon
Allen Simon was one of the early artists for Gilberton's Classics Illustrated series, then still called Classic Comics. During the 1940s, he illustrated comic adaptations of Alexandre Dumas' 'The Corsican Brothers', Charles Kingsley's 'Westward Ho!' and Victor Hugo's 'Hunchback of the Notre Dame'. These comics were redrawn by other artists for later reprints. During the early 1940s, Simon also drew for All Winners Comics and Daring Comics over at Timely, working mainly with 'The Human Torch'.
