Manuel Gonzales is an unsung Disney artist hero in my eyes. His Mickey Mouse Sundays in the 40s and 50s were perfect companions to Gottfredson´ s dailies. Gonzales was particularly good in conceptualizing Goofy, as seen in this Sunday page. Gag/script by Bill Walsh.
