About Ersel
Ersel, whose real name is Erwin Sels, was born in Antwerp and is a Belgian comic book artist. Son of Frank Sels (nl), a collaborator of Willy Vandersteen, Ersel is a realist cartoonist specialising in historical comics. He is best known for having taken over the drawing of the Pioneers of the New World from its creator Jean-François Charles in 1994.
