To really appreciate Stan Drake´s use of light and shade effects, one has to see the pages in black and white. Like in the Classic Comics Press 2016 edition Kelly Green - The Complete Collection. Of course it is even a bit better to study the original pages.
Since this story was first published in Pilote and created for Dargaud by two US artists, I am not sure if it should be classified as "Franco-Belgian" or "US/UK Comics".
