Keeping Up With The Joneses

This is a wonderful episode featuring main characters Aloysius P. McGinis and his wife Clarice, who is an indefatigable social climber. Aloysius appears in every panel; he luckily gets out of attending a dinner with the Van Nuts and settles in to enjoy a quiet evening at home. He finds new energy and ventures out into the rain, however, when Booney calls him to judge a beauty contest. The final panel finds Aloysius presenting Miss Tangerine with “the first prize…for being chosen the most beautiful girl in Pinellas County."
