                About Jung
Jung Sik Jun was born in Seoul, Korea, but was adopted by a Belgian family in 1971, where he got his adoptive name Jung Henin. He studied Latin and Maths before he followed a couple of art studies. During his studies, Jung has his first exploits in the animation field. His meeting with Marc Michetz in 1987 gave him the chance to make some short stories for Spirou and Tintin, taking on his first name as pseudonym.
He cooperated with Jean-François di Giorgio on the series 'Yong Soo' in Spirou from 1988. He also joined the studios of Hislaire and Darasse for several months, illustrating covers for Belgian Business Magazine. Between 1991 and 1995, Jung cooperated with Martin Ryelandt on four albums with 'Yasuda', published by Hélyode. Also with Ryelandt, he illustrated the heroic-fantasy series 'La Jeune Fille et le Vent' for publisher Delcourt from 1997 to 1999. After a trip to Thailand, he began working on the trilogy 'Kwaidan' in cooperation with his wife Lee-Yun (Delcourt, 2001-2003). In 2006, Jung and Lee-Yun made the poetic one-shot 'Okiya'.
