Another Jaime Hernandez? I know, I know, but they don't come much better than this standout 9-panel page from Love and Rockets #44 that was also recently featured in the Artist's Edition of Jaime's work. I've been looking for this specific page for a while and was delighted to see it pop up for auction recently.
Jaime was really peaking here, as both his writing and artistry align to create a beautiful page that begins with a dramatic confrontation and ends with a moment that can soften even the hardest of hearts — as Penny Century reunites with her elderly mother.

Jaime Hernandez is a comic book artist born in Oxnard, California in 1959. With his brothers Gilbert and Mario, he created the Love and Rockets comixes, in which he developed the Locas series over a period of more than forty years.
