The night of the double Ripper murder (1): Mary Kelly going home early in the morning after a night on the town, unaware of what is in wait for her. The first panel shows her walking down Commercial Street on the way to her lodgings in Millers Court. Christ Church Spitalfields on the right, the greytone shading underlining the ominous atmosphere in Whitechapel that night.

Eddie Campbell is a Scottish comics artist and cartoonist who now lives in Australia. Probably best known as the illustrator and publisher of From Hell (written by Alan Moore), Campbell is also the creator of the semi-autobiographical Alec stories.
