Description
"Alice" original acrylic on board by Lorenzo Sperlonga.
Created for cover of Lorenzo's 2023 "Wonders" calendar and summer 2022 Kickstarter campaign. Lorenzo included the original giclee paint-over to create the "nice" (censored) version used for the cover. The painting is 22" x 17". (56cm x 43 cm)
FROM LORENZO SPERLONGA'S FACEBOOK: "Armando Heurta and I had known each other for more than 20 years, and even if we were not close friends, we would admire each other's work and enjoy our conversations when we were together at the same conventions. Yes, he could have had a controversial personality, but his extraordinary talent was undeniable. My all-time favorite pin up by Armando was indeed his "Alice". That's why I wanted to pay homage to "The Dark Lord of Pin Ups" and put his signature on the collar of my Cheshire Cat. Just a way to say that he might be gone but his art will live forever."
Model for this Alice is Candice Kane from Australia
