Pierre Loyvet, born in Rouen, founded the fanzine L'Outsider together with his college friend Sébastien Floc'h. Through this fanzine, they teamed up with many artists and writers from the Rouen region, including Vatine, Cailleteau, Duval, Gioux and Jusseaume. Loyvet eventually dropped out of school spend all his time on a career in comics. Together with Floc'h, he started the children's series 'Skoub et moi' of which two books were published by Vents d'Ouest in August 2001 and Septebmer 2002.
then spent several years doing designs for video games, until he teamed up with Éric Hérenguel to start a spin-off to Hérenguel's cult fantasy series 'Krän'. The first book of 'Krän Univers' was published in 2006 and by 2010, Loyvet was also doing artwork of the main series. Together with Nicolas Moustey and the publishing house Dargaud, he launched 'Axel Rock' in 2012.
