Biography :
Alexis Chabert was born in Paris. He studied Fine Arts in Versailles, but left after only a couple of months to study classical guitar at the Conservatorium of Music. He returned to comics and art however, although he also continued to make music. He worked with a graphic studio for six years, allthewile working on a comics project with his friend Eric Suchère. He teamed up with writer Didier Convard after presenting his work to publisher Delcourt. Chabert and Convard made four books of the medieval comic series 'Rogon le Leu' between 1995 and 2001, and a fifth installment in the series was drawn by Sébastien Cosset.
