This is a page without Daredevil. Obviously. But when I saw this page coming up for sale I was instantly in love with it (actually I was already in love with it when I spotted it in the gallery of a french collector, never believing that the proud owner of it would let it go some day).
There are some pages of the Nocenti/Romita jr./Williamson Daredevil run that are so incredibly inked by Al Williamson that it passes for me the border to pure joy, to pure art. This one is one of these examples. All lines and perspectives are so delicately set not the page, every panel is done in a real perfection, nearly abstract art, that I was a bit shivering when I put the page out of its package.
Storywise it is the first appearance of Blackhearts, formed by its father Mephisto (who later also is the one who destroys him).
So in a way in many aspects a key page (at least for me).

About John Romita Jr.

John Salvatore Romita professionally known as John Romita Jr. (born August 17, 1956) is an American comic book artist best known for his extensive work for Marvel Comics from the 1970s to the 2010s. He is often referred to as JRJR, the abbreviation of John Romita Jr. John Romita Jr.'s first contribution to Marvel Comics was at the age of 13 with the creation of the Prowler in The Amazing Spider-Man #78 (Nov. 1969).[5] Romita Jr. began his career at Marvel UK, doing sketches for covers of reprints as a favor thanks to his respected father. His American debut was with a six page story entitled "Chaos at the Coffee Bean!" in The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #11 (1977).[1][6] Romita's early popularity began with his run on Iron Man with writer David Michelinie and artist Bob Layton which began in 1978. The creative team introduced several supporting characters, including Stark's bodyguard girlfriend Bethany Cabe[7] and rival industrialist Justin Hammer.
