Description

“Tattoo” aka "Tattoo Bettie” original painting has not publicly been seen since it was originally purchased from Robert Bane Fine Arts in 2002. This painting created in 2001 shows Huerta’s skill and mastery in what I believe, and many critics concur to be ONE of his greatest works.

Published many times with only a horrible scan until now so I hope you all will enjoy.

This is one of three Gil Elvgren tributes Armando painted. Clearly inspired by one of his favorite artists, he recreated Elvgren’s pose of the famous painting “Darlene” in his own way and made her his favorite muse, Bettie Page. It is airbrush acrylic but it appears to have some colored pencil work in there.

This Masterpiece is indeed one caught up in the Ricky Carralero scandal, but it is 💯 percent Armando Huerta and in no way defaces the image.

Published in “The Art of Ricky Carralero” (SQP) and “Art Premiere” (Art-Fantastix) by Carralero but is Huerta only.
