About Bruno Bellamy

Bruno Bellamy was born in France in 1964. Very soon he became fond of fantasy and science fiction stories, comics and computers. He had a revelation when he discovered Moebius comics. He knew what he would do in this life: be a comics author! And so he did, by creating (with scenarist Marc Bati) a three-album comics series called 'Sylfeline', published by Dargaud. Since 1985, he worked as an illustrator in magazines about computers, video games, role playing games, Linux and the Internet. So it's logical that, in 1995, he was among the first French comic authors to create a personal web site. It has since been visited by tens of thousands of people, mostly attracted by the characters he created in the magazines for which he worked. These very special characters, gently erotic female creatures, are referred to among Bruno's readership as the 'bellaminettes'. Text (c) Lambiek
