Lee Bermejo Batman Gotham Knights 50 cover and Superman tryout
Ink wash
56 x 43 cm (22.05 x 16.93 in.)
Description
I am told this was Lee's tryout for DC Comics. And he did a beautiful job. DC Comics must have thought so too because they used the Batman image for their Gotham Knights 50 cover.
Bermejo only works digitally now. So his originals are getting harder and harder to find. This picture does not do this piece justice. It is FULL of incredible detail and shading. It has Bermejo's signature technique that shows up in his most famous works.
