Description
D'après les informations données par Sylvain Despretz (réalisateur, dessinateur de storyboard ayant collaboré avec Moebius) , ce personnage a été créé par Moebius pour un projet de jeu vidéo en 3D immersive développé par la société française Videosystem Medialab (en 1993) qui n' a pas vu le jour : Château Fort.
Plusieurs personnages, dont un sorcier, des gardes armés, un enfant prisonnier dans un cristal, une sorcière…. ont été modélisés en 3D mais l'essai s'est révélé peu concluant . La compagnie Vidéosystem a mis la clé sous la porte peu après ce projet.
Sylvain Despretz : "En fait, en le regardant, je peux voir que j’ai encré le troisième chevalier sur la droite. J’ai également encré une partie du garde du milieu : ses mains et son épée.
Moebius a fait tout le reste et les a également peint.

Several characters, including a sorcerer, several armed guards, a child trapped in a crystal, a witch…. were modeled in 3D but the test proved inconclusive. Videosystem shut down shortly after this project.
Sylvain Despretz : "In fact, looking at it, I can see that I inked the knight on the right out of these three. I also inked part of the middle guard : his hands and sword.
Moebius did everything else and painted them too."

About Moebius
Moebius nickname of Jean Henri Gaston Giraud was a French artist, cartoonist and writer who worked in the Franco-Belgian bandes dessinées (BD). Giraud garnered worldwide acclaim predominantly under the pseudonym Moebius and to a lesser extent Gir which he used for the Blueberry series and his Western themed paintings.
